Ceremonies as gateways and the power of our words and thoughts
Ceremonies and ceremonial rituals facilitate and strengthen our connection with Spirit - divine source or the universal, cosmic intelligence - giving us a gateway for interacting with the quantum level to co-create and manipulate reality. From a shamanic point of view, this physical reality is a mirror of what is first given existence in our imagination, a reflection of what is happening in the spirit world.
Ceremonies encourage our energetic realignment, our internal and cosmic balance. In this liminal space we are given the opportunity to dive into the ocean of possibilities.
The New Moon is a propitiatory time for a candle magic ritual, when the energies tune in with the Earth’s generative power, inviting us to align and focus on our intention, thoughts, words, and actions we take, metaphorically planting seeds into the earth.
Every thought has the potential to become an ‘entity’ that expands with a ripple effect. Incantations are believed to change reality and spoken words to manifest the world into existence.
The theme of the spoken words as the key of creation is found in many ancient cultures and cosmological stories around the world. A thought and the spoken words of that original intention will be the mean by which a creator god will bring life into manifestation. This will be often from chaos into order, the cosmic and natural order of Ma’at, the ancient Egyptian goddess and cosmic principle of Balance, Truth, Justice, Alignment, reciprocity and Natural Order, so much needed at this time in human history. Manifestation respects a divine natural order: Ma’at.
The time around the New Moon, is a time to pause, sit down quietly, and listen. Building up to that day, I recommend a daily practice of energetic clearing and mindfulness to actively witness your thoughts and spoken words…. What forms in your mind and what comes out of your mouth? Is that beneficial and for your highest good and the good of all or is it keeping you small, holding you back, or even being detrimental for yourself and others? This is a reminder of our great responsibility: with power comes responsibility, and we are given a big power to manifest into existence, so pay attention and choose wisely. From this place, with clean energy and a pure heart, envision what you want to see, your dreams, your goals.
In our ceremony on the 25th of July, for the Leo New Moon, we will be performing a candle magic ritual to metaphorically sow the seeds for the new cycle so that we can be the best we can be and imagine our becoming as individuals and as humanity.
